DAY 2 : Poured out on All

Read: Acts 2:1-47

Think: In Peter’s extensive and passionate message on the Day of Pentecost, Peter quotes the prophet Joel: “‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike—and they will prophesy. . . . But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Consider the incredible freedom that this message delivered to the people who were confined by culture. God was inviting men and women, young and old, Jew and Gentile…to call on His name! The Holy Spirit was being poured out on all so that everyone who called on the name of the Lord would be saved!

Act: Begin today to consider WHO in your life has yet to call on the name of the Lord to be saved. Ask God to give you the name of one or more persons to pray for their salvation over the 100 Days of Faith in Action. Ask God to give you courage to share the Gospel—the Good News that Jesus loves us so much that He died for us—with the men and women, boys and girls, young or old whom He puts on your heart today. Ask the Holy Spirit to love others through you. Depend on the Holy Spirit to guide you into conversations and actions that show and grow your faith.

Pray: Dear Lord, I pray for______________________. I long for ___________ to know your love, experience your healing in his/her life, and be filled with Your Holy Spirit. Give me the words I need to share your love with _______________. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Be full of faith today!
