What is Baptism? Join us down at the Newport Aquatic Center, Sunday March 16th following service.
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing our faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It signifies our death to sin, the burial of our old life, and the resurrection of walking in the newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Baptism does not save us, only our faith in Christ can do that: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works so that no one can boast.”
Baptism symbolizes this work of Jesus on the cross: as you are lowered into the water, it is like your burial with Him; as you are brought out of the water, it is like your rising with Him from the dead. It signifies a resurrection from your old life. There should be great joy and celebration in our baptism, as it is a declaration of our faith in God.
Join us Sunday, May 24th, following the service down at Newport Aquatic Center for Beach Baptism.
Make sure to wear dark clothes when going into the water, and bring a towel and a change of clothes for after.

We believe that God has called us to live a life that is counter-cultured in society. No topic is off the table, we will lock arms as a community to provide you with the tools, people, and opportunities to live the life God created you for.

On May 7, the Church of Costa Mesa will gather as one body with all 51 churches across the city for a Citywide Prayer and Worship Night. This will be a moment for the Church to unite, lift Jesus up, and seek God together for the flourishing, healing and transformation of our city, state, and nation.
Saturday Night Chapel is our Student and Family Service. Now and until May 3rd, we will meet on Saturdays at Viewpoint Church at 6 PM. Food will be provided, and each week we will have an inspiring testimony, an encouraging message, and a time of worship and prayer!

Here at Viewpoint, we value Membership! Membership is an invitation to become part of our church family. It allows us to know you more deeply and for you to know us more deeply as well. We believe that God desires for us to become a spiritual family. Families are committed to one another, love one another, encourage one another, and grow together. Our church is based on the belief that God desires us to become more and more like Christ. This is a developmental and transformational process. At Viewpoint Church, we begin the growth process by committing our lives to Christ and then to one another in a local church.
To do this, we offer a series of three classes that will introduce you to who we are and what we believe (INTRODUCTION 101), officially invite you to become a member of Viewpoint Church (MEMBERSHIP 201), and ultimately invite you to grow in maturity to Christ through leadership (LEADERSHIP 301).
Introduction 101 - Learn about who we are, our vision, and values, meet the staff, ask questions, and have lunch together. Lunch is provided; childcare is available on request.
