Missions at Viewpoint Church

Over the last nine years, we have had the great honor of being one of the primary resources for funding Alero Cuku School and Ministry in Uganda! From providing a perimeter fence around the school for protection to building a well on site with clean water access to expanding the classrooms, we are very excited to bring our worlds together by expanding our mission to bring Jesus to all corners of the world, starting in a place that has touched so many hearts in our community.

Alero Cuku is part of our First Fruits and now we are expanding to bring like-minded people to meet an extended part of our family. You can be a part of the family in many ways, by praying for the church and people of Alero Cuku, by giving generously to our mission funds, or by joining us on yearly mission trips.

We are sending our first team June 21 - 28th to visit, pray, work on the property, and continue to build a long-term relationship between our churches.

If you have any questions whatsoever feel free to Contact Us!

Your prayers and generosity are the cornerstone of our mission's success. By joining us, you transform dreams into realities, enabling us to spread hope and love to communities in need. MEET THE TEAM

ERIC AND JULIET KIEHNLE - board member / member of church

This will be Juliet’s second trip to Uganda, Eric’s first trip to Gulu, Uganda.

When Juliet and her daughter Kristen returned from Gulu seven years ago on a mission trip with Rock Harbor Church, they became interested in supporting Viewpoints ministry at Alero Cuku, Pastor Richard and his wife Lillian.

Through Viewpoint, they have assisted in finding a local Ugandan contractor to build a perimeter fence that was necessary to gain accreditation as a school. This contractor is currently working with Viewpoint on a 3 phase construction project for building classrooms, teacher’s quarters, and a new latrine. Most recently they drilled a water well for the village that provides fresh drinking water. The Kiehnle’s know God has called them to this ministry and that the time has come to establish a regular pattern of visitations from Viewpoint Church. This will hopefully be the first of many.

TIM PALMQUIST - VIEWPOINT MEMBER

It has been a desire of mine to go to Uganda and excited for this mission trip to be taking place.  Previously my daughter and her husband went to India on a mission trip, but I wasn’t able to attend. I am looking forward to this opportunity to go to Uganda, Africa. I desire to participate knowing the people we visit and our team will both be blessed.

Michelle Sargent - youth and involvement director of viewpoint

This past January I went on my first mission trip to South East Asia. It was not only a life-changing experience but a faith-changing experience where I left feeling marked by the Lord to continue going on mission trips when He leads me.

It was an honor to serve alongside brothers and sisters to build the church. Having an opportunity to go to Africa, to meet the people of Alero Cuku, is a dream that God has placed in my heart and I am beyond excited to see it come true.

There is something so special about ministry work overseas and seeing how our God moves through us in all corners of the world. I do believe this is just the beginning of our journey to Uganda, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for Viewpoint Church. It is an honor to be part of this team and represent us as the body of Christ to a church we support and love dearly.
